In 1964, CatEye created the first flashing lamp for bicycles. CatEye went on to create the very first bicycle head lamp using white LEDs powerful enough to project light to see the road in 2001. Our LD500 remains the only rear safety light that can meet the rigorous CPSC standards for reflectivity.
