Anytime I leave the house this light is mounted on the handlebars and operating in flash mode. I feel this a great light with extremely low battery drain that is best used as a "be seen" safety tool both on public streets and on busy designated bike/pedestrian paths. Granted, this baby will not illuminate a broad boulevard in the dark of night (there are plenty of other great Cateye products to do that - The CatEye Volt 300 is my fav for occasional urban after dark riding.) But when it comes to simply being seen by others on the road or path, this is a hard-to-beat option at this price point!
